PARAMAHAMSA VISHWANANDA AND BHAKTI MARGA INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION
Bhakti Marga, the Path of Devotion, has evolved into a dynamic international organization of spiritual seekers in recent years. We are present in more than 70 countries. Surround yourself with positive, creative like-minded people who are living the devotion (Bhakti), which will help us to progress rapidly on our spiritual path and help us to remain faithful to the Master’s teaching and to be strong and persevering even in the challenges of life.
INTRODUCING THE HUNGARIAN COMMUNITY OF BHAKTI MARGA
Our operation in Hungary actually started when Paramahamsa Vishwananda first paid a visit to Hungary. He came to Budapest in January 2017, where he gave his personal blessing and Satsang to more than 1,000 people and seekers. Since then, we have organized several programs, participated in yoga and music festivals, became a member of the Association of Hungarian Yoga Teachers.
Several of our books have been published in Hungarian, and we plan to publish more books, including the edition of the Bhagavad Gita Essencial with Paramahamsa Vishwananda’s commentary, in 2024.
We now operate from our new centre in Hemanga Vitthala Rukmini Ashram, Koka (Pest County), where we moved in November 2021. Paramahamsa Vishwananda personally inaugurated our Temple and Ashram on 12 October 2023.
We hold regular daily morning and evening prayers and services here. Our programmes also include Vedic fire ceremony (Yagna), scripture study, bhajan and kirtan singing, OM Chanting. We also hold regular courses in yoga and meditation (Atma Kriya Yoga, Babaji Surya Namaskar), spiritual painting, introduction to Sri Yantra, Mudra course and Hindu rituals (puja).
You can find our programmes under Események.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH BRIEFLY
With the blessing of Paramahamsa Vishwananda, our community has created a place for retreat, silence, recharging and where spiritual people can live and work together.
An integral part of the centre is the Hemanga Vitthala Rukmini Temple, where we conduct regular daily services. The murtis, or deities, are sculptural representations of some manifestation of God. This also creates an energy centre that has a wide-ranging positive impact on people and the environment.
Everything you experience with us can be incorporated into your daily life in a wonderful way.
WHAT IS SANGHA?
Sangha is a Hindi word, comprised of the Sanskrit words samgha, meaning ‚together‘ and han meaning ‚coming together‘.
The word Sangha therefore means community. When we pursue the same goal and follow the same path, we support each other in the community. Together we are stronger than individually. The spiritual community provides opportunities to serve and grow together. The love, knowledge, and teaching of the Master can be manifested worldwide through the activities of the Sangha’s.
THIS IS HOW YOU CAN BENEFIT
You can benefit from the acquisition and adaptation of practical spirituality in everyday life.
You will find an island of tranquility with us, away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Everything you learn from us can be wonderfully integrated into your daily life.
THIS IS WHAT WE OFFER

- Regular prayers, ancient Hindu ceremonies, Puja and Yagna (fire offering) in our temple.

YOGA, MEDITATION AND RITUALS
Immerse yourself in the mystery of ancient techniques to calm your mind, find your inner balance, and establish a deeper connection with yourself and others. Bhakti Marga’s yoga and meditation techniques were received from the spiritual Masters, Paramahamsa Vishwananda and Mahavatar Babaji. Through their practice, our hearts open up to the transforming power of love.
Although all practices come from the same source, each one penetrates the darkness in a unique way and illuminates the path of true happiness and true love. Because love is beyond religion, these practices have a beneficial effect on everyone, regardless of one’s individual belief or what spiritual master they are interested in.
We offer the following Yoga and Meditation techniques:
ARTS
FIND YOURSELF THROUGH ART!
From the beginning Paramahamsa Vishwananda has taught us to recognise the importance of art in both music and painting as a form of expression of surrender to God.
THE PATH OF BHAKTI THROUGH MUSIC
When we sing and dance not for ourselves but for the pleasure of our beloved Lord, the ordinary becomes divine. As the purity of love begins to flow, thoughts become silent and only pure existence remains. Singing Bhajan and Kirtan and playing musical instruments, when we offer this to God with a pure heart and love, this act becomes a prayer.
More
Therefore, music and prayer play a very important role in the life of Bhakti Marga communities worldwide. Following the ancient Hindu traditions in our temples, we hold daily prayers and ceremonies, of which music forms an integral part. We also focus on teaching music and singing Bhajan and Kirtan together. There are Bhajan groups in our temples and communities, also supporting those interested in the path of Bhakti and the work of existing communities through programs and music education.
THE PATH OF BHAKTI THROUGH PAINTING
„Painting is meditation”, Paramahamsa Vishwananda declares.
“IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST AND A PAINTER, YOU FORGET ABOUT THE WORLD AROUND YOU AS YOU WORK. YOU FORGET EVERYTHING AND FOCUS ON WHAT YOU DO. YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF THROUGH AN IMAGE IN YOUR HEART AND IT APPEARS IN AN EXTERNAL FORM. WHAT IS WITHIN YOU IS ALSO MANIFESTED ON THE OUTSIDE”
A spiritual painter is spiritually connected to the divine form he/she paints. This creates an internal connection. In silence, in a meditative state, these visual creations are born.
More
Painting is also a manifestation of God through creativity. The paintings created in this way have an energetic effect on the environment, on man, recalling the memory of our divinity in us. Such artworks are the embodiment of beauty. They have a healing effect on their environment.
Painting offers many positive possibilities:
- It calms the mind
- Awakens our creative abilities
- Strengthens our intuition
- Gives self-confidence
- Connects us with ourselves
You can choose from a variety of courses and workshops from beginner to advanced level, and also for children.
- New icon painting
- Painting Hindu motifs
- Drawing
- Intuitive painting
- Sri Yantra painting
OUR ASSOCIATION
The main focus of the activities of our association is on people and the environment.
With our programs we want to support the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of people. We not only carry out the activities listed above in our center but also outside in the world. We are more than happy to visit other spiritual communities, individuals and public venues.
- providing courses, workshops for young people and adults
- Yagna (fire offering)
- participation in festivals and exhibitions
- publishing and distributing newsletters, publications and books
- protecting the environment and nature (e.g. tree planting program)
- helping those in need of social aid
By supporting the renovation and maintenance of the center, you are also helping to bring it all to the world.
WHAT IS BHAKTI?
PARAMAHAMSA VISHWANANDA
WHAT IS BHAKTI?
“BHAKTI REPRESENTS LOVE AND THIS LOVE IS A UNIVERSAL LOVE, THAT IS PRESENT IN EVERYONE. MARGA REPRESENTS THE PATH TO LOVE THAT IS IN THE HEART OF ALL OF US. SO EVERYONE IS PART OF BHAKTI MARGA”
Bhakti Marga means the path of devotion in different ways. Surround yourself with positive, creative and like-minded people who are living the devotion (Bhakti), which will help us to progress rapidly on our spiritual path and help us to remain faithful to the teachings of the Master and to be strong and persevering even in the challenges of life.
Bhakti means a love affair with the ultimate reality. It means you are ready to meet God, who is there, deep in your heart.
PARAMAHAMSA VISHWANANDA
“MY MISSION IS TO OPEN THE HEARTS OF HUMANITY TO RECOGNISE AND ACCEPT THE ETERNAL DIVINE LOVE THAT PERMEATES US ALL.”
Paramahamsa Vishwananda is an enlightened spiritual Master and the founder of Bhakti Marga, the path of devotion.
His life and work is dedicated to encouraging all people, regardless of age, to love beyond cultural, religion, gender, and age boundaries, and to open our hearts to the recognition and acceptance of eternal Divine Love that pervades us all. He offers wisdom and tools to awaken our inner capacity to experience this love in our daily lives. He Himself is a living example of the transforming power of Divine Love. His teaching is to experience this unique personal relationship with God through Bhakti, love and devotion to God.
BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR ASHRAM
By the blessing of our Master, Paramahamsa Vishwananda, in the autumn of 2020 we started searching for an appropriate place to establish our spiritual center and ashram close to Budapest. We found it in an instant! Only 52 kms away from Budapest we have found a beautiful mansion that was built in 1909 as a nunnery and functioned like that until the ’40s. In the political storms of history this beautiful facility was abandoned, like many similar buildings in that era, until it was acquired and renovated 16 years ago. The facility lies in the village of Kóka in an environmental protection area, radiating peace and tranquility.
Under the guidance and blessing of our Master, and with the help of many generous donors, we were able to renovate and develop our temple and completely renovate the outbuilding in just one and a half years.
By the date set by our Master, October 12, 2023, we were completed and ready for the opening ceremony, during which our Master personally inaugurated our temple and ashram. On this occasion, about 230 guests from home and abroad were able to be part of this uplifting ceremony.
ABOUT THE NAME OF OUR TEMPLE
Rukmini and Vitthala are incarnations of Laksmi and Narayana. Vitthala (or Panduranga) is one of the names of Lord Krishna and means “the one who stands on a brick”. Krishna bears this name because of his common líla (story) with the saint Pundalik:
“Pundalik lived in the Indian province of Maharashtra. He abused his own parents under the influence of his wife. During a pilgrimage, he realises his terrible behaviour and begins to see the Divine in his parents and devotes himself to them with the utmost love. Lord Krishna is attracted by Pundalik’s devotion to his parents and visits his house on the banks of the Chandrabhaga river in Pandharpur (Maharashtra). When he arrives there, Pundalik is so absorbed in serving his parents that he asks the Lord to wait until he has completed his service. To save Lord Krishna from standing in the mud, Pundalik throws a brick at his door. This is how the special image of Krishna is created: standing on a brick with his hands on his hips, waiting for his devotee – with infinite patience.”
Rukmini Maha Laksmi, the incarnation of the Divine Mother and consort of Lord Vitthala. Unmatched in her love for Vitthala and her singular focus on God. She is revered as a loving wife and a unique example of divine devotion. When we surrender ourselves to Lord Vitthala, Rukmini also bestows her blessings on us.
“Panduranga is the Lord of eternal joy and happiness”.

Thank you for your support!
The Hungarian community of Bhakti Marga has tcreate a place that provides an opportunity to retreat, to calm down and recharge and where spiritual people can live and work together. Our Ashram gives many people the opportunity to experience this inner peace and beauty through devotion and deepen their relationship with God.
We can experience this through yoga and meditation, during the prayer, by playing music together, studying Hindu scriptures, painting, but also by doing work in form of seva (selfless service).
The integral part of the Ashram is the temple, where we hold ceremonies and prayers on a daily basis. In doing so, we also create an energy center that has a wide-ranging positive impact on people and the enviroment. The inaguration of the temple took place in October 2023.
Furthermore, it is important for us to educate about environmental awareness and a natural lifestyle, and to promote a lifstyle close to nature.
